Escape

I could feel Something warm and wet on my face I touched my face with my hand and looked towards it to check what it was. It was my tears it's been 18 years I haven't cried once even after all the nightmares but why now? I asked myself.

Crystal!

 Maya's voice rang through my earpiece breaking my thoughts.

Receiving, I replied hiding my face with the scarf. 

You need to make an Escape and fast, someone is coming to the VIP lounge.

Run CRYSTAL! Brandon interrupted 

I looked down from the balcony it was high and looked above, I spotted some pipelines that were going to the terrace it was high.

 it was the 54th floor after all.

I jumped from the balcony held myself with the support of the pipes and started going up. 

once I reached the terrace I could see people were partying I turned to the corner to scam.

 My eyes widened in shock as there were bodyguards surrounding me from every corner.

Boss we have got him

I heard one of the guards talking through the earpiece.

Crystal The building! To your right Maya's voice rang through my earphone

I was rigid.

Crystal!!! 

after finally getting myself out of my thoughts. The reality hit me.

I have to do something and fast.

I kicked one bodyguard out of my way he scrambled to the ground. punched two right at the ribs they bend down due to the impact. I took the opportunity and ran to the right of the terrace. It was a dead end.

There was a slight gap to reach the other end of building 

STOP! i heard someone's voice, It felt familiar 

I couldn't look back, No

 I jumped right out of the building. and fell down to the other buildings terrace, it was quiet I guess the restaurant is closed. I checked the terrace door it was open surprisingly I ran towards the stairs changed my cloths in the washroom and came out in the reception area.

Brandon?

Crystal the back door Brandon replied through the earpiece 

Got it 

I ran towards the back door and met my most trustworthy friends.

and hugged them.

phew that was close Maya wispered.

Tell me about it, I countered remembering how I was surrounded between the guards.

we soon left from the area, as we were leaving, I could see there was commotion occurring as the police cars and Ambulance arrived, I smiled at the thought, The bastard is dead.

Let's get something to eat. I am sure no one has had their dinner by now? Maya asked 

you read my thoughts Maya! Brandon interjected 

what are we waiting for guys? Let's party! I chimed in happily 

I Maya and Brandon were at the Pizariya because that was the only place open at this time of night.

Ok so who wants what? I asked

I will have the chicken pizza with extra cheese. Maya said going through the menu

I will have the pineapple pizza with an extra cheese dip at the side .

I and maya exchanged disgustingly horrifying looks

ABSOLUTELY NOT!

I and maya screamed at Brandon  at same time.

Wha whats wrong with pineapple pizza? Brandon asked faking the hurt in his voice

Something is definitely wrong with you Maya interjects . Who likes pineapple pizza and specialy with a freakin cheese dip .

You are nuts Brandon. Maya continues roling her eyes.

Fine whatever, many people like pineapple pizza I just know it.

By the time the blabbering was going on between Maya and Brandon.

The waitress came holding a notepad in her hands

What may I get you guys ?  She asked with a small smile.

A chicken pizza with a large coke. Maya gives her order

A pineapple pizz... I and maya gave Brandon the death glare. A vegetable pizza please Brandon quickly changed his order.

What will you have Crys?

A regular vegetable cheese pizza with a cheese dip and a medium cold coffee.

I completed my order, the waitress took our order and left. After some time the waitress came back with our order.

Enjoy Your meal she said we said us thank you to her and started munching on the delicious cheesy pizzas together.

We came back very late at night it was around 3:00 in morning right now.

Brandon gave us a ride with his limited Ferrari to the mansion and  dropped Maya at her house on our way.

I was so exhausted because today was entirely different from my normal routine normally I would finish my mission and that's it. There are no emotions.

Good night, Bran, I gave him a small smile and went towards my room.

I took a long shower reflecting on what had happened that made me cry after so many years.

I thought I had forgotten how to cry

I rolled my eyes at that and came out of the bathroom only to hear

Who the actual hell is calling me this late at night. I retrieved my phone from my purse and looked at the Id

Were you a sleep? Maya's voice came

No not yet, is everything ok? I asked with a little worry.

Yah everything is fine, it's just you were blank at the terrace when the guards surrounded you. So I thought maybe something is bothering you.

Oh no it's nothing I just got a little emotional I guess I answered walking in front of my window where I could see the dark sky painted with numerous tiny stars as little white crystals.

Oh, ok just felt like checking up on you have a good Night, don't forget I am always here for you.

I knew Maya was surprised when I told her I got emotional. I don't do emotions specially guilt or regret or anger during my kill. I simply kill my target and come back.

Maybe it was because you knew him how he cared for you and your family even if it was all fake
